What Is CBD Oil

The cannabis plant is made up of more than 100 different cannabinoids, chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors in cells that change how neurotransmitters are released in the human brain. They have different effects on the body and are concentrated to different levels in certain parts of the plant, reports the BBC.

The best-known compounds are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). In the UK it is possible to get a prescription for CBD oil because it does not “inflate” the consumer.  For more information about pure cbd vape oil, you can visit

CBD oil has entered the mass market in recent years and has garnered both loyal supporters and despicable skeptics. CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is found in the cannabis plant. But unlike THC – the ingredient that makes marijuana users high – CBD has no psychoactive effects.

Instead, it is used by people who want to treat conditions such as chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, and epilepsy. This substance is also being tested to see if it can help with anxiety and arthritis.

The number of people consuming CBD oil, also known as cannabidiol, is estimated to be around 1.3 million in the UK alone. According to GQ magazine, natural compounds have gone from harmful to desirable "thanks to brand rethinking and increased medical research."

Proponents of CBD oil say it can relieve chronic pain and inflammation, depression, and insomnia, among others. However, others say its benefits are oversold and unproven while many are confused about its legal status.
